There are so many diets and weight loss methods available that it can make one dizzy!  Of course the best diet is not to have to go on one but to eat healthy, whole foods that are right for your body.   But the reality is that sometimes we reach a point where we need to follow a structured eating program and learn some new eating habits. Following a diet for weight loss should be a fixed and short-term event as we learn to eat a healthy and balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight.

Ideally one needs to find a program that is easy to follow, easy to stick with and one where hunger and cravings are not issues.  One such diet, which is safe, effective, and medically developed, is the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method.  The key to losing weight is controlling insulin levels.  Insulin is produced by the pancreas and has 2 roles: to get sugar into our cells, thereby reducing blood sugar, and to store fat.  With the Ideal Protein diet, the carbohydrate and fat intake is significantly reduced.  This allows the pancreas to take a break by producing less insulin.

Unlike many diets where one simply cuts calories, this type of a protein diet allows the body to burn fat reserves while preserving lean muscle mass and hence, increasing metabolic rate.  The key is to reeducate your pancreas and to produce only the right amount of insulin needed.  The result is rapid weight loss with a refined silhouette.

Whether you have 10 or 200 lbs to lose, we can help you not only to lose weight in a healthy fashion, but also to keep it off.

Understanding the cause of weight gain

The Ideal Protein Weightloss Method was originally developed by sports physician Dr. Tran Tien Chanh, who focused his career and research on nutrition, with a particular emphasis on the treatment of obesity and obesity related issues.

According to Dr. Tran Tien, “The cause of most weight issues in a modern society is insulin dysfunction. A diet grossly disproportionate in its share of saturated fats and sugars, such as in breads, cereals, muffins, cakes, pastries, pasta, pizza, rice, corn – very much like the North American diet – causes the pancreas to produce an overabundance of insulin, which stays in the system and puts the blood sugar level in a negative balance.”

An overproduction of insulin also leads to hypoglycemia or low glycemia, which in turn induces constant sugar cravings and weight gain. Insulin’s primary function is to regulate blood sugar levels however it is also the hormone that facilitates the transport of fat (triglycerides) into the fat cells. Even worse, it “locks” the fat in the fat cell, preventing it to be used as a source of energy. Now, because the blood sugar has dropped (and we can’t access the fat as a fuel source) it creates “sugar cravings’ and the vicious cycle begins again. In other words, an over abundance of insulin causes weight gain.

The Ideal Protein protocol will give your pancreas a well-deserved break by limiting simple and complex carbohydrates until your weight loss goal is achieved.

Core Principle of the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method

Learn to live off of the body’s own fat reserves. Simple and complex carbohydrates can prevent weight loss.  The Ideal Protein protocol restricts sugars (simple and complex) until 100% of your weight loss goal is achieved…why? Because, as long as sugar is being consumed, your body is not burning fat. It really is that simple. The first source of energy is derived from glycogen (carbohydrate) reserves. Therefore, the core principle of the Ideal Protein Protocol is to deplete the glycogen (carbohydrate) reserves completely, in order to compel the body into consuming its fat reserve to burn calories.
